Red Tail Entertainment is a National live entertainment company, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. The company is organized around a producing division, Red Tail Productions, and a live entertainment promotion division, Red Tail Live!
Interest in family attractions lead Red Tail Entertainment’s founder and Board President, Phil Drayer to produce a wide range of spectacular live shows including the Broadway hit, A Night with Janis Joplin whose title performer, Mary Bridget Davies was honored with a Tony Award Nomination. He is the North American producer for the interactive family show Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live which just completed a summer long residency at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, DC, and he is a member of the producing team of the National tour of Scooby Doo Live! Musical Mysteries.
Fresh off of his assignment as Vice President of Entertainment for the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, Texas, Marc Engel and Phil Drayer met in the summer of 2013 and the two soon concocted the plan to create a concert promotions company, 35 Concerts, which had as its initial focus the cities and venues centered along Interstate 35 between Minneapolis and San Antonio, but soon found itself working in cities from California to the Mid-Atlantic. After five years of operations, Phil and Marc merged the two individual companies to create a multi-division, full service entertainment company capable of creating, developing, managing, and promoting live entertainment across North America.
In the early days, the promotions division concentrated almost exclusively on music concerts featuring heritage artists with 20+ year concert and recording careers including Tony Bennett, Merle Haggard, The Beach Boys, and Harry Connick, Jr. Today, under the leadership of Kelsey Young, the division has expanded into a large variety of shows including family-friendly titles like PJ Masks, The Wild Kratts, and Disney Jr. Dance Party, some non-traditional attractions like Brain Candy Live and Dan & Phil Interactive Introverts, and Broadway Musicals like The Wizard of Oz, Stomp! Cinderella, and Cirque Dreams Holidaze.
Likewise, the producing division of Red Tail Entertainment has grown since its inception. Independent producer and former director of programming for the AT&T Performing Arts Center, David Denson, joined the team in January of 2019 and now manages a full production slate that includes the addition of successful US tours of Double Dare Live! with Marc Summers, the world-premiere of Dolly Parton’s latest rendition of the Dickens classic, Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol, the brand new 420 Experience, a celebration of cannabis culture in music and lasers opening in Loveland, Colo., on April 20, 2020.
